What Is Carbon Steel Flanges?
The carbon steel flanges are made up of carbon steel and their pressure ratings range between class 150 to 2500. The content of carbon in these flanges can go up to 2.1% by weight. There are elements too, present in the alloy and the variation in their quantities determine the properties of the flanges. For example, if the carbon content in the flanges increases, then after the heat treatment, it becomes stronger and harder.On the other hand, it also makes the flanges less ductile.
