AS 90 Degree Elbow & Low Alloy Buttweld Fittings exporter in Mumbai

The alloy steel pipe fittings is a butweld weldable fitting that helps in carrying out different functions that is generally done by pipe fittings. Depending on the type of the fitting chosen, they can branch off, change the direction, and stop the flow. They are one of the top choices for providing leakage-proof piping connection, which is an essential requirement across several industries. The alloy steel buttweld pipe fittings come with a continuous structure that gives an added strength to the system. They have a very smooth inner surface and due to the presence of gradual directional changes, the corrosion and erosion actions can effectively be minimized. They also help in reducing pressure losses and turbulence.
Clients can get low alloy steel that has a total of 1.5% to 5% alloy content. There are several common alloying elements present in it, like chromium, silicon, manganese, molybdenum, vanadium, and nickel. These alloy steel fittings are mostly used in the manufacturing process of heating elements.

There are several advantages of alloy steel pipe fittings like:

  • They can withstand high temperatures and some extreme conditions, and that is why they are used in several critical applications.
  • The alloy steel is known for its corrosion resisting property, which is essential for pipe fittings. That is why they are used in seawater environments where corrosion is a major concern.
  • They have a very low thermal expansion rate or a very consistent expansion pattern in given temperature ranges.

Due to the above advantages, the alloy steel buttweld pipe fittings are used across several industries such as petrochemical, aircraft, steam turbine power plants, nuclear power plants and medical engineering. It is cost-effective and also possesses higher machinability compared to stainless steel.

The primary difference between ASTM A182 F9 Socket Weld and ASTM A182 F11 Threaded Fittings is in the way they are connected to the piping system. While the socket weld fittings basically connect two pipes with the help of fillet welds, the threaded fittings are screwed to the pipe. Socket welds are mostly used for permanent applications; strong and durable connections are required. It is a very reliable pipe fitting that comes with higher installation time. The threaded fitting are mostly used for all non-critical applications like low pressure applications without any vibrations or bending forces. They are not suitable for conducting fluids that come with ever changing temperatures, as the sudden change might cause the connection to crack.

The alloy steel forged fitting is a type of pipe fitting that possesses better features like higher resistance to stains, corrosion, and rust, when compared to any ordinary steel. It is one of the most popular pipe fittings, known for its high durability and greater performance. They are available in customizable sizes, ranging between ½” and 6”, and their pressure rating can go up to 10,000 PSI. The forged fittings mainly help in connecting different pipe equipments like valves, pumps, etc., for creating a complete piping system. There are mainly two types of forged fittings, namely socket-weld fittings and threaded fittings. The socket-weld fittings basically connect two pipes with the help of fillet welds, whereas the threaded fittings are screwed to the pipe. These are used for high pressure applications, wherein gas or fluid transfer is required from one place to the other.

The chrome moly alloy steel fittings are mostly used for high temperature and pressure applications. It is a tubular product that comes with enhanced levels of chromium and molybdenum. The presence of a high amount of chromium in the alloy helps to increase its hardenability and corrosion resistance capabilities. Similarly, the added amount of molybdenum also improves its toughness and corrosion resisting power. That is why the chrome moly fittings are not likely to rust.

The ASTM A182 F22 grade material is a low alloy steel containing 2.25% chromium. The F22 grade of the material is widely used in oil patch wellhead applications, as well as high-temperature services. It consists of several alloying elements which hardens the material and makes it an upgraded version of the AISI 4130 type of steel.
The ASTM A182 F91 pipe fittings are used for constructing forged piping systems, and thus they are used in high-temperature services. They are high in strength and thus can withstand high pressure. They possess high weldability and have great yield strength. They offer high corrosion resistance and hence they are used in various environments.
